FAQ
Open a question for a brief, plain-language answer.
What happens after I call or email?
Service Vaughan passes the information to By-law for review. Officers may begin with education or a conversation. A report does not automatically result in a fine.
Can our kids ride on the paved trail in the park?
No. A trail inside a park is a recreational trail, paved or not, so it is not a permitted e-scooter or e-bike riding area.
What is an in-boulevard multi-use pathway?
A shared pathway running alongside a road and separated from motor traffic by a curb or buffer.
What about a shopping plaza such as Longo's Plaza?
A plaza is private property. A “No E-Scooters” sign is generally something for the property owner, property manager or security to address first.
